Shergold Guitars have announced the release of their new SM04SD Masquerader electric guitar.
In line with the three introductory Masquerader models, the SM04SD has been designed by British luthier Patrick James Eggle, but is the first to feature a solid Mahogany neck and Macassan Ebony fingerboard. Also unique to this new model is the double humbucker configuration with a USA Seymour Duncan ’59 in the neck and TB-4 in the bridge.
The SM04SD is exclusively available in a Thru-Black gloss finish with a black, genuine Bakelite scratchplate. In keeping with all current Masquerader models, it offers inlaid aluminium lined fret and side markers, a custom PJE-designed Shergold T-bridge and staggered, locking machineheads.
With the initial SM01SD (Humbucker/P90), SM02SD (Humbucker/Single/Single) and SM03SD (Single/Single/Single) Masqueraders receiving high acclaim upon their release, the new SM04 has been designed to further strengthen the series by offering yet more tonal options to the series. The SM04’s double-humbucker configuration results in a hot tone that is sure to appeal to guitarists seeking a full-bodied, responsive and powerful sound.
