The Dust Coda have released ‘Love Sick’, the latest single to be taken from their forthcoming album Loco Paradise, which is coming out July 7th on Earache Records. Pre-order the album here.

The new single showcases the softer side of the new album and channels influence from the likes of The Black Crowes and Led Zeppelin. Despite the silkier tones, the track builds to a gospel-esque crescendo oozing soul and melody tinged with the flavours of the sixties, which ties in perfectly to the sunny Surrey Delta and its rich musical history where the video was filmed.

Singer John Drake comments, "Simply put, we had a blast - sunshine and lollipops, flowers and good vibes, drones flying everywhere, it felt like we were making 'Apocalypse Now' in the ‘Summer of 69’.”

It was produced by Andy Morahan who directed the Guns N’ Roses’ epic ‘November Rain’ video, and produced and directed by Josh Trigg, who’s known for his work with The Rolling Stones. The video perfectly captures the vibe and essence of the track with the band in total harmony amongst the flickering fields of gold.

Guitarist Adam Mackie adds, “We all got right into it as the lush English countryside felt perfect for the song and the crew we were working with were pros and very relaxed, so we tried out all sorts of rad ideas. There is probably some unused footage somewhere of one of us hugging a tree. John also got to wear his beloved Aussie Statesman hat."

The band have also been announced to play with Guns N' Roses at BST Hyde Park on 30th June, just ahead of the album’s release, which will be the perfect setting to hear the new songs live for the first time.

‘Love Sick’ follows the release of ‘Fairweather Love’, with its soaring Cornell-esque vocals and pulsing rhythms and the hard-hitting rock’n’roll anthem ‘Road To Hell’.

The new music stands as a real statement of intent from what’s to come from the London based rockers, whose raw energy and fire is equally matched to their stellar songwriting across the album’s 11 tracks.

Recorded during the hazy summer heat of 2022, Loco Paradise saw the band take residence together at the divinely picturesque Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, with producer Charlie Russell (Kasabian, Jamiroquai, Wargasm) at the helm. Just as the album cover itself (which features a striking depiction of a winged, crazed eyeball clutching a lightning bolt in its talons) is intended as a piece of art for fans to get lost in, the album is also an experience of immersion.

Guitarist Adam Mackie says, “This album really captures the band at the top of its game. We locked ourselves away in the studio together for a week to live and breathe the creation of 'Loco Paradise'. Just six people constantly feeding off each other 24 hours a day for 7 days to give life to these songs and elevate them to a place beyond our expectations. The result is a 54-minute testimony of pure, organic rock'n'roll music.”

The new album follows the release of 2021’s Mojo Skyline, which landed them a UK Top 30 spot and saw Classic Rock Magazine selecting the band's brass-infused track ‘Jimmy 2 Times’ as part of their 300th landmark issue's 'The Soundtrack Of Our Lifetime' list, alongside legends such as Slash, AC/DC and Deep Purple.

With songs that will sound at home in a stadium as they would a club, The Dust Coda have captured the pure essence and utter joy of being in a rock’n’roll band with Loco Paradise.

The Dust Coda will also be setting out on a UK headline tour this October, which will culminate with a show at London’s Dingwalls. Tickets are available here.
