Kiesel Osiris O6

For 70 years, the Kiesel Guitars Custom Shop has designed and built the highest quality, made in the USA custom guitars you can own. In conjunction with the new Zeus Series headless guitars, the brand are proud to announce the Osiris Series bolt-neck, headless models. Available in 6, 7 and 8 string models, as well as multiscale models. Joss Allen takes us through his own personal Custom Model.

  1. So I have to start this with a disclaimer, first off this is my own personal guitar and secondly, I am Endorsing Kiesel Guitars. So now that's out the way lets get into the nitty-gritty of this and talk about my beautiful guitar. So lets start with the obvious, the guitar does not have a headstock and amongst maybe one other company Kiesel Guitars has been the front-runners in modern ergonomic headless instruments. It can be a very love/hate situation with headless guitars for some people but here are some positives I think come along with Headless instruments.

. less material to naturally damp the strings vibration resulting in more sustain

. With no heavy tuning machines to contribute to the dreaded neck dive

. Less weight on your fretting hand which can free you up to focus on playing to the smaller overall size of the instrument, travelling is so easy, it can fit in an overhead section on a plane.

One of the incredible things that still astonishes me is how many guitars Kiesel churns out at a very very high custom shop level, and the price really reflects that !! To be able to get a USA custom shop guitar for under one thousand dollars is pretty incredible. If you were to watch one fo Jeff Kiesel live guitar shop walkthroughs, you would see the passion that he has for what he does and that alone makes you want to part with your money and get a Custom Shop Kiesel Guitar.

One of the best things in my opinion about the guitars and Kiesel is general is that they make their own pickups, the Pickups that site in my guitar are the Lithium Humbuckers, probably one of the more widely used pickups in the custom shop selection. They seem to be unbelievably balanced on not just clean tones but High gain tones as well, and a rather amazing single coil tone. The guitar comes with a 5-way selection switch so not only huge chunky humbucker tones but the amazing single coil tones.

The only other thing I feel I need to talk about is the fear or unknown of what might turn up to your door once you have made your order, its a difficult situation to order a custom-made guitar online or over the phone, the only thing you can do is take into consideration what others tell you might be a good combination of timbers and parts.

But after my first ( the Pink one ) turned up I understood and was convinced that the quality is unparalleled and the craftsmanship is second to none.

I would like to finish by saying that if you ever make the move to buy yourself a custom-made instrument from Kiesel Guitars, never fear because trust me you will not be disappointed.
